Waaaaaah! Cry me a river. I'm 600 miles from Charlotte, and drove it in the old P'up with its plush bench seat! Hmmm, I'm now doing physical therapy for my back...surely it's not related...

What I didn't mention is that I messed up my back 15 years ago and have 2 slipped disks in it. I do realize that you didn't know! On top of that, I am 6ft 1, and 265 lbs, so as I said, I do have to be careful, and the work that I do doesn't give my back a break, either!

And besides, I never asked for anyone's pity! I do drive over 100 miles a day on a weekly average every week of the year in the Isuzu!

have a wonderful weekend! I know I will! My daughter and I will be frying fish for supper tomorrow night! :D

mmmmm you just gave me the "hankerin" for some cat fish........ nah it's all good buddy just some friendly poking i can assure you especially Jack of all people had no intention to rub any sore spots.......

yeah i don't personally know the feeling but i have a friend who is 6'6" one slipped disk in his back from a work injury and he drives a single cab 92' Ford Ranger....

it's like watching the circus every time he gets in/out of it........... even funnier still is he used to drive a 62' i think it was bug back in high school........

seriously though if pulling the meet closer to the LA border might convince even just one more person to come it will definitley be a consideration..... have a great weekend and enjoy the pescado!!!!!

I drove my Chevy diesel to Houston to buy some walk in coolers for a customer from an auction at a Randalls Supermarket on Westheimer about 4 years ago. For "country boys" like me, downtown Houston would have been really interesting to see if I wasn't dealing with city traffic around the "loop"

What is really a witch (swap the 'W' for a "b") for me is getting into the drivers seat (and out of, for that matter) of my friends Maxima. He's 5 ft 6, and I always forget to move the seat back and raise the steering wheel first. My back hurts for a week when I do that! He can keep that pile of crap! I'll keep my trucks, thank you!

And I do realize he was picking. he just didn't know about my back, and how I hate the fact that I messed it up doing something stupid while on the job. And the sad part... I KNEW BETTER!

I'll tell you... I turn 38 in less than 3 weeks. And I know about hay bales... yesterday, I helped a neighbor roll one of the large round bales off of his trailer into his shed for his horses to eat. Those things aren't easy to deal with. The neighbor needs to invest in a hay spear for his tractor! To be honest, he's a retired car mechanic that I have known since I was very little. In fact, he's the one who ground my new valves and the seats for the Isuzu engine. He also hand lapped them in, too. He has the machine in his shop to do them! How many of today's mechanics have those tools? Very few!

And I was raised on a dairy farm here in LA... my parents still have a few beef cattle that they consider their hobby.

I have a similar problem with my back( plus 19 years on you ) and getting in and out of my truck was a big PAIN untill I put a 3" body lift on
now no hanging my forearm over the roof and plopping down in the truck and can actually walk normally when I get out

Hi, Mike! I'm also a Mike, too! I decided that I wouldn't use my name in my "handle" so as to not confuse others. I have been in messes before on other sites when they thought I said something that another Mike said.

I don't have a problem with getting in and out of my Isuzu. I believe it can be atributed to the (16") Trooper rims and tires that are installed on her. But cars... I hate them!

Nice to meet you!

Have a wonderful weekend!
