I have talked with Alan and hes up for it.

I would be happy to help, doesn't really take much.

My only concern with the location that it seems to be a distance from Atlanta, and off the main interstate a bit.

Our Charlotte (Concord) NC gathering was right off the highway, no one got lost, and it was a day trip or so for most that attended. Meaning, few guys stated overnite, and there were lots of hotels right next to the gathering restaurant.

I am all for a GA gathering, the prime reason would be to make it easier and closer for Jerry Lemond to be there. A state park, picnic setting could work great. my concern is just making it as easy as possible for all to get there, from GA, TN, SC and FL.

Its just like i was thinking keeping it simple easy to find Thats why i was thinking Hawkinsville because we have so many Trucking routes to Town. Have it at the steak house in town because theres a Motel right next door I can even make some signs up and place them along the way to the meet all the way from the interstate. But then again i like the State park idea What do y'all want? Lets hear some more ideas. When should we have it?

If we plan for October, we stand a chance at outnumbering the West Coast meet!! HaHa!! If we were to have it on the same date, we could link up together via computer like a Pup townhall meeting. Mike, run with it!!!!! I'm in favor of having it farther South. Us NC members can get us a convoy together.

Probably my only weekend in Oct would be the 10th-12th. I have mom and 3 brothers w/ birthdays at the end of the month. Maybe I can talk my wife into coming this time too.
I'm hoping we'll be able to come. I had a great time in Charlotte as well. I wished we had had more time.

I know some of us were talking about meeting at a park in Georgia, but what do you think about meeting in North Atlanta near where Jerry lives? There are a couple of big malls there. I know my wife will be more likely to come too if she can shop...I'd like to see Jerry's place..and if any of us breaks down, he's got parts!!
Are we still thinking about October 10th-11th? If not, I'd like to meet up w/ some of the NC-SC guys sometime and hang out.

Only bad thing about ATL is the traffic its bad so many idiot drivers and such can get lost real easy
