Speedo works fine. I'm sure the odometer is just gummed up but honestly it doesn't bother me that much.

my 1983 long bed space cab with c190 diesel engine has around 500.000 miles on it. the odometer stopped on 466.000 miles (750.000km) 10 years ago.

My 84 automatic has like 315k when I sold it. I didn't out all those on it. My 82 white pup had maybe 310k when I sold it to Any (Science)

Amy recently sold the little 82 pup I'd sold her several years ago. She txt me yesterday and said it had 342,000 miles on it when sold. Still running. I bought it with about 140,000miles back in 1996.

Hitting 311K soon! Engine was rebuilt at 298K after a stuck valve - transmission and differential are all original, still operating nice and quiet.

That is pretty amazing having so many miles on the original transmission. I would guess it might be some kind of record.

if you're referring to IsuzuFaster, he has a gas engine. They're easier on the transmission than a diesel. Plus he has a 4speed which were better than the 5speeds anyways.
