Late Rap Up of The Cayce Meet.

Post by Gerald K4NHN »

I've received a couple of request for what the door prizes were from some that didn't attend..so here it is:

50% off of a 4 set fuel injector rebuild, value $100
50% off of a timing belt, value $20
50% off of a timing belt, value $20
50% off of a alternator oil line, value $20
50% off of a alternator oil line, value $20
1 oil change 5qt. Shell Rotella oil $27
1 oil change 5qt. Shell Rotella oil $27
1 oil change 5qt. Shell Rotella oil $27
3 Ladies prizes

$301 in door prizes were given away.

Marie and Fran had given 2 door prizes, I don't know what they were, but it was very nice of them to do that.

Andy had Isuzu caps, pens , & note pads from a dealer that he knows..

One of the timing belt winners said that he needed that one and had used it with Jerry at the show. Jerry had many boxes of parts, the kind that you see people wanting on the postings here... I saw a lot of hoses, and windshield gaskets walking around.. used parts changed hands, and a couple of Isuzu shop manuals were sold. I didn't get to spend much time visiting with the ones that did attend but was glad to see everyone. We had expected around 55 people to attend and had planned on 60 total and only about 34 showed up. A couple of great programs, Ryan had the best glow plug set up and demo that anyone could ask for. He could show the operation of every part of that system and he could monitor every part to show that it worked. And you could also see the glow plugs light up white hot also!!!! .. If anyone needs a part tested that they aren't sure that it good, throw it in a prepaid box, $20 plus shipping back to you and Ryan can test it for you. And a great collection of Pups were there, from rust buckets to a new off the production line PUP. I wish I could have been able to looked at the pups more but I was busy.

Andy had a transmission apart to show how the bearing go bad.

Jerry had a demo that showed how to take apart the injectors and put in new nozzles and then set the pop off pressure and look at the spray pattern. Now I have a new set of injectors to put in the Pup.

And then there was plenty of time to buy and sell parts.

We had expected around 55 to attend and had planned on 60 to attend totally and only about 34 showed up So we had plenty of food, pizza, sub sandwiches, many deserts cakes, donuts and drinks and good prizes. And everyone had time to chat with each other while they ate lunch. So if you didn't come you missed out on a good time and door prizes and a chance to find some parts that you've may have been looking for..

I'm sorry about being late with this report but I'm taking care of the wife and preparing for surgery tomorrow, so it has been a full week for me and the week before the meet..
