Cayce Meet Door Prizes

Post by Gerald K4NHN »

I have purchased 5 nice door prizes for the Isuzu owners that I think any owner would like to have. I have also arranged for a few prizes for the women and some hand outs for them, also. Things are starting to fall in place here. I hope to have a map ready by the first of next week.

Here is the location of Shoney's across the street from the motel that most are staying at.. The map says that it is West Columbia, but one side of the street is West Columbia and the other side is Cayce. It's exit 113 on I-26.

I hope to be in and out at the motel Friday afternoon.. Anyone that would like to eat seafood Friday night I can post the couple that are in Cayce and they aren't hard to get to... Remember BBQ Saturday night just 1 block from the place that the meet is being held. We'll all need to do some cleaning up of our meeting place Saturday afternoon because there will be a church service there on Sunday morning...

It looks like we have people coming from Tn, Fla, NC, SC, Ohio, Va, & Ga. to the meet.

thanks for reminding me about prizes. I need to check w/ our local Isuzu truck dealer and see if I can get a few freebies from him again. Gerald, if you or Steve find yourselves near this place, maybe you can score some free stuff too! Shealy Truck Center

They laughed when I stopped by and they wanted to know could they give me a sales brochure for a big box truck...All door prizes have been purchased by me, three more today... The only thing free today is government hand out programs... :-(

The only thing I receive from your uncle is S/S and I worked 51 years, paid into it and earned every dollar of it. No freebies for me.

$240 spend on door prizes and I have a week to go yet. I don't think I'm chintzy at all,

Just found out that we'll have some door prizes for the ladies that are coming along to keep their better half out of trouble.

Some of you may have picked up in the past postings about the meet that it's being held at the Mission Of Hope. This is a nondenominational Mission that is open to all. It also runs a Food Pantry that gives dry goods, (rice, meal, flour) and canned food to the needy every week. They are letting us use their facilities at no cost to us and it's only supported by the public..

So anyone that'll bring 5 or more dry goods or canned food to the meet for the Mission, we'll give them 1 extra door prize ticket.
