New meet in the SOUTH!?
New meet in the SOUTH!?
Hey was just wanting to get the ball rolling on putting together a southern meet..... I'm in Greer SC.... Just about half way between Charlotte NC and Jerry's place in Dacula GA......we have accrued quite a few members here in the southeast, I think it's about time again ....... That said, the Greenville/Spartanburg area seems to be a pretty central point TO meet ..... If there are any others in my immediate area (or not so immediate, charlotte, atlanta, etc),that would consider hosting a meet, I would be more than happy to help organize and so on....... PS I would love to host but I have a 1/4 acre..... Post your ideas and thoughts here as to WHEN, WHERE, and HOW.....looking forward to y'all's thoughts, Collin
Re: New meet in the SOUTH!?
Oh my thoughts on time would be sometime in the fall when things cool off a little from the summer heat...... Oh yea and one more thing.....if we can make this happen, I promise to supply the best BBQ that any of y'all have ever layed teeth into......

BBQ is fightin' words here in the South. You do Carolina style? I'm a Memphis styler.

Re: New meet in the SOUTH!?
Larry Quick (quicknotslow) is not too far from you, and frankly had volunteered to do a meet at his place on the lake in Irmo, SC. Gerald Cromer and son Steve live nearby in Cayce/West Columbia. We have "VAN", who lives in Spartanburg, and there are more in Columbia, Spartanburg, Greenville, Asheville, Georgia, ALL OVER!!! I think my 302,000 mile P'up can manage a round trip to SC. Speaking for Gerald, I know he'd prefer the meet to be closer to where he lives due to family health issues. If we can get Margaret to come from Florida, she can bring some Python for us to BBQ. I hear they have an over abundance of those slithery critters down there!

Looks as though we have lookers..... feel free to chime in guys this will be a great opportunity to show all those Pacific Northwest guys and gals that they may not actually be the "homeland" so to speak of the Isuzu pup .... We southern pup guys need to come out in droves and show them who's boss:)
Re: New meet in the SOUTH!?

Re: New meet in the SOUTH!?
Quicknotslow kinda had 1st dibs on hosting the next meet at his place in Irmo, SC (plenty of space), but he may be moving. He won't know until the end of this week. If he does move, then I guess csik.sc (name??) has it.
Re: New meet in the SOUTH!?
If he is not available to host is there anyone else that would like to?..... I do not have a place suitable for hosting as much as I would like to..... That said I would love to help with the logistics of setting one up provided its not to far from me..... And again I will take care of the BBQ

Re: New meet in the SOUTH!?
I'd be interested in going to a Southern Meet as well. I missed the Memphis meet as my Pup still needed some work to make a trip like that, but now I'm ready for a meet!

I'm interested in a pup meet for the South. I'm located in Myrtle Beach SC. Sounds like fun, and a great way to meet other pup owners that can give insight on how to work out the "bugs" with these trucks.

Myrtle Beach would be a lot of fun. Hosting a meet is a lot of work. Are you offering?

Re: New meet in the SOUTH!?
Quicknotslow (Larry) had offered at one time to host a meet at his place in Irmo, SC on the lake. If he'd open up the offer again, I'd be in favor of it. Although I do like the beach, I'm not a huge fan of Myrtle
