Isuzu luv

Post by Rodzbuck »

Hi everyone and thank you for the invite. My name is Rodney. I'm from Tacoma Washington, born and raised. My ride is a longbed luv diesel with an isuzu powerplant. I've had it since the late 90s. It's a runner and a daily driver with 472,000 miles. In that time the only things I've replaced is 2 alternators a clutch and a set of glow plugs. It still gets 43 mpg and I wouldn't part with it for anything. We've had some ups and downs over the years but the beast has always made it home. Even now on our latest down the beast made it home ( 4th gear all the way, lost 7 teeth on the counter shaft gear) I am here in search of wisdom. Again thank you all for the invitation in to your family.

Even when broken, I never had a Isuzu leave me away from home. Welcome to the site

Welcome to the site, Rodney. It's actually not a "LUV diesel with an isuzu powerplant". It's an Isuzu diesel with a LUV badge. The truck is 100% Isuzu, even though it has "Chevrolet" on it somewhere. :)

Welcome aboard. Like to hear about the high mileage trucks! How many owners has this truck been through?

Always love to share the fact that even the Chevrolet badge and emblem are made by Isuzu

The Chevrolet badges are distributed by Isuzu for Isuzu made GM vehicles in their representative markets.
