1992 Chevrolet LUV from Indonesia

This is for "Introductions". Tell us about YOUR P'up, and a little about yourself (if you like). This is also the place for updates, tall tales, etc. about YOUR P'up. No technical questions here, please.

Isuzu Faster wrote: Thu Jan 26, 2023 7:37 pm Love the video, Andy! But for sale already? When are you going to enjoy your truck??

It sure is odd seeing a P'up up top and a Trooper underneath :D
 I wrote that only to calm down my wife. Offering $8,500 is too expensive for that pickup anyway

Yup, the tyres stick out and always made the body dirty. But it design approved from Isuzu Japan with specific "KB54" frame code.

Did a little modification with the bench seat.
1990s Indonesian LUV gets 1-2 seat. With bench seat for driver.

Because I already had stock console box years ago, I exchange the seat with Trooper's bench seat from friend's same type LUV

And just now I modified it to highback style

Beautiful truck Andy!!

Now help us all make ours here look the same with all of the factory original parts we can get from suppliers there.......LOL.

Seriously though, I think if we all knew what kind of parts we could be looking at in a bulk purchase, we might all be willing to do a community buy and all of us chip in for shipping, making it all reasonable.

Do you have something or someone there who can provide you with a complete list of available parts?

I need interior parts, and then just some extra under-the-hood parts to have on hand.

I've tried several times before and it didn't work, here's why :
- I'm working as goverment building contractor that mostly have to work 24/7 sometimes in weekend in remote area, which means I can't have time to manage all of this buying parts and shipping to you guys. I've tried to get help from other friend but no one have much times and spirit to do that.
- Shipping from our country is very complicated, difficult and expensive. I don't know what's wrong with the post office and Indonesian Custom system, but it need so much times and money to take care of one single shipping to abroad.
- Getting old Isuzu parts is like hunting from one small shop to another. Years ago I came directly to the shop, specially when I'm on duty to another town. Nowadays I'm hunting through Facebook pages, Instagram and OnlineShops. But it's difficult to get a shop that have all the parts that you need.
- Most of parts are not Isuzu's genuine anymore, they came from Thailand or Taiwan which is better for you guys to buy it from ebay.
