In Oregon...

Post by JoeIsuzu »

We're in Klamath Falls, Oregon, visiting my son and his wife. We'll be in Medford this afternoon, meeting up with Mark ("arrowmntdiesel").

There's obviously more love for diesels in this part of the country than where we live. This diesel MB belongs to one of the baristas at the local coffee shop. He was excited to talk about it.

Yeah there are a lot of diesels in WA and OR especially west of the mountains, but ooo do those Diesel prices hurt right now!

We paid a visit to Mark ("arrowmntdiesel") at his shop. I didn't get to visit the "Puptato Farm", but Mark has an amazing stash of parts at the shop.

It was very nice to see you again Jack. Thank you for making the effort to stop by the shop. I will be looking forward to the next trip out for you and Tina. I wil be sure to make more time for you both to be able to make it out to the "Puptato" farm ( LuvCamas,Tracy) for dinner with Teresa and a walk through the Pup yard. Travel safely my friend and blessings to you and your family.

And other than the one in Mark's shop, I still haven't seen a P'up yet!

We're in our 6th day in Oregon, and the only P'up I've seen was Mark's current project.

P'up drivers, where are you?

Myself, I'm about 350 driving miles north of ya, mowing the lawn. Sadly, too far for a visit.

(Just Kidding: I think some guy from Haiti blew through the area and bought up all the P'ups!!) R/

They really are getting super scarce I will even admit. I used to see one a month or something a couple years ago, but then I was seeing practically none. A friend of a friend bought one up in Bellingham or somewhere around there, but I don't know much about it. Since moving to Utah I have not seen a single other one on the road....

We're back home now, and it ended as it started. Not one P'up or even a 1st generation Trooper, the whole time I was there.
