Adjusting valves

Post by timothy222 »

Guys / gals , the book says the timing marks for the California models is an extra mark on those models ( California 1985 in mind ) I believe it’s 2 degrees different than all other models in the other states , is there a reason for this ? Anyone know ? And is there any reason I can’t try the regular mark that I see is the usual one ( instead ) ? Halden, jack, Mark M ?Jerry L. Any one out there ? Have a thought or what have you .
I did adjust them last week and I believe it improved my performance however maybe for next time ? And what can I use to rotate the engine to stop at T.D.C. ?
1984 (or 1985?) diesel
