Does anyone know what could be wrong with my turn signal switch?
I accidentally budged it with my knee as i was getting into it.
Now it does blink left or right, but when turned it will not "exit" or stop blinking in whatever direction it gets pushed into.
Turning the wheel does not do anything, and turning the switch to left / right or middle does not stop it either.
Im assuming there will just be some plastic piece broken off but im asking just incase if there has been someone with a similair issue.

It may be repairable. First, I'd remove the trim around it, and take a look at what's happening (or not happening) inside. But to do any work on it, you will probably have to remove the steering wheel, and then the "combo switch" (assuming it is like what we have in the US market).
There are two "cams" that returns the turn signal to its neutral position when the steering wheel is re-centered they are not secured will, and tend to come off with age. I'm surprised that both would have come off at the same time, but the only way to know is to look inside.
Used combo switches are not that difficult to find. All Troopers through 1991 used the same combo switch. And I'm not sure what the Trooper might be called in your market.

Sometimes we'd see where the 4way flasher switch wouldn't allow the turn signals to function. Not sure if that's your case, but try cycling the 4way flasher switch on top up & down a few times and see if it fixes it. Turning on the 4ways turns off the regular turn signals. Plus it uses a different circuit that uses a different flasher relay as well.
Since your turn function does work, you may have messed something up. My 85 didn't have delay wipers, so I found a combo switch from a 91 Trooper and swapped it into my Pup. Worked awesome. However, that harness will work plug&play only on 84-87 models, I believe. If you go that route

One difference in the 2 combo switches is older trucks have a white/clear plastic harness plug. Newer ones like the Trooper have a green plastic plug

This is how i managed to fix it.
a small i think about 1-2mm drill bit that i snapped off with bolt cutters, then drilled into the small plastic piece that was broken off.
This broke because i hit the blinker lever with my leg into the steering wheel, i guess there was enough play for it to move enough to break the piece off.
It ended up being a tight enough fit with just the drill bit since when i drilled the holes they turned a bit smaller than the actual drill bit.
This is probably since the plastic is soft enough that it just deformed around the drill and hence making the hole slightly smaller than the bit.
Just in case i added a drop of glue to keep it in place.
Should work fine if someone tries to recreate it!
Machine grade steel reinforced switch in other words.

Looks good. I'd never seen that issue before either. Many of them are so stiff inside, they won't cancel after a turn. I had taken several apart to clean up the stiff dried out lube and re-lubricate the moving parts.
