Possible that Shawn is thinking in lambda rather than AFR.

Ahhh... thank you.. Yes, good catch. I thinking lambada and typing AFR. 12.5 is scary range to be at. The line between a great powerful tune and a boat anchor is easy to cross.... absolutely ignition timing is key. The beautiful thing about Isuzu I-Tec EFI system is its optical crank sensor providing the ECM with 1° increments of crank rotation. The ECM knows exactly where each piston is located, what stroke it's on & precisely when to ignite or inject the fuel.

Fun fact...
GM coppied this system and named it Opit-, Spark for use on Cadillac & Corvettes 8 years after Isuzu launched it. But the GM system made by Delphi never worked correctly & always failed.

Can you verify your writing about AFR ?

By the way, I live in a tropical country.
Whoops...
I was referring to lambada value, Not AFR.
good catch.

With the numbers like this I figured you lived in a humid environment.

Yes I do live in a humid environment.

It's dumb to make camshafts that permit more air to enter the cylinders when the intake manifold won't allow any more air to flow....

ITB fuel injection system design has started
