Electronic ignition system - The ignitor

Ignition modulator / igniter / power trans / trigger or whatever you like to call it normally last a long time. It's not immune to failure & it will someday. If that day comes when you own the vehicle there is no need to spend a lot of money on a new one or buy someone else used part.

These devices are repairable.
