Fuel shut off solenoid

Post by isuzu Specialities »

I am a firm believer that with older vehicles repairing the defective parts is always better than replacement. This holds true with newer cars too after comparing the cost of replacement VS cost of repair.

Here we have a fuel shut-off solenoid from a Isuzu diesel. The part isn't all that expensive to replace, however regardless of brand a new part is of far less quality. When weighing the cost VS quality between replacing and repairing the repair wins by a long shot.

The repair takes 30 minutes & requires no special tools. Fundamentally it's as simple as popping open the case attaching new wires, replacing the oil seal, assembly and reseal the case.
