This afternoon I had the privilege to meet Todd, his wife & mother. Todd had asked me to take a look at his late grandfather's 1986 pup gasser 1.9. The truck is in great shape and needs to be cleaned up a bit. A few minor maintenance issues like belts, fluids, new tires.
The body is rust free. Just over 100k mi. Bed liner has protected the single wall be from dings. Rocker panels and floors are is terrific shape. Faded paint and overflowing pine needles are the only big issues.
Todd, it was a pleasure leasure meeting you and the family today. Again, sorry for your loss.

Re: Met up with a_gunslinger this afternoon
Thanks puttputtinpup. I appreciate all the info and experience on the new Pup world I find myself in. Such a huge education in a short period of time. If anyone is interested shoot me a PM. I want to make this a project, but I have several in front of it. Very torn. But I definitely want it to go to a Pup Penthusiast, not an exporter or random Craigslist person.

It would nice to have. There are many little things here & there that need fixing. Heater core, glove box door, firewall, door alignment, squealing engine, deep cleaning, weber carb upgrade, transmission service, and likely new universal joints, shocks, brakes servicing, to name a few

Hi Andy
The squealing engine is gone. The belts were just loose. I didn't deep clean it, but I gave it a very nice clean. The Transmission seemed smooth. It appears he took it in for basic fluids I found out thru paper work. I just dont want the Taliban to get it. Response was nil o all the Isuzu forums so I put it on local and Winston-Salem Craigslists. Already some responses. Probably the sketchy exporters. Im running out of time.

I was so worried the squealing was a bad bearing. She is a good looking li'l truck.
