I was talking to a co-worker of mine and they made a comment that my LUV has been in the lot more often than my '18 Tacoma over the past year and it got me to look up how many miles I put on the LUV over the past year. I was pleasantly surprised to see 10,000 miles in the past 12 months. That's about 2/3rds of my average annual mileage of 15,000.
I honestly don't remember all the maintenance involved for those 10,000 miles as it has been a good amount. I know at least 2 oil changes, a thermostat, coolant flush, re did the down pipe off of the turbo since it was leaking bad, new gasket on the intake/exhaust manifold since it was leaking, re-did my intake piping since it would blow off from boost occasionally, a few blown fuses, re-did the wiring for the rear lights since I lost brake lights, fixed a parasitic draw due to a stuck relay.
So yeah, how about you guys? How many miles on your PUP this past year and what did it take to keep it going?

It’s my around town wheels, except when I need my other truck. So, about 3000 miles per year (one oil change). This year it got new plugs and wires and I washed the engine compartment. (But it’s not a P’up )

My 1981 LUV gets more offroad miles than on road I put about 800 off road miles and 400 on road with very little maintenance, kept the 2.2 full of oil and diesel and runs like a top

I've been away quite awhile. Guess the good part is that means all has been good with the P'Up. Bought the truck just under 5 years back with 136k +. Currently pushing 189k. Just keeps going.

Lately it's been about 2k miles a year for me. I only drive it every other weekend or so to haul my mountain bike or go hunting or something. I have a new-ish Honda Civic that is my beater car so I can prevent putting too many miles on my P'UP.

Re: How many miles per year have you driven your Pup lately?
As you can tell, mine is not a pup. its a old Dakota with a C223 pup motor. I put about 11000 per year, for 15 years.
I lost my first pup motor from over speed in 4th gear. I thought the first motor was super good, until I put a newer
model in. now I can feel the extra torque. about 33000 miles on the newer one.
My old truck has to work hard. Only gets 26 mpg, but i luv it.

No pup but a zoo at least.
Glad I found mine in Dec. 2021 in this restored condition at only 130 tkm = 80 k mls. As this is my pure hobby car and I really try to keep up it´s nice condition, I only drive it for pure joy so I may do about 3-4 k mls year. Unimageinable slow, the 2.2 n/a diesel does really calm myself down and is tranqulizing my driving .
