"K-source" replacement side mirrors from pep boys online

Post by 89rebelpup »

 regardless of the source ALWAYS buy nos or oem!

soooo disappointed with the extremely poor fit and finish of these mirrors. Maybe more disappointed with myself for forgetting that lesson I learned long ago. Trust me It's worth the time it takes to find them and worth the extra dollars (if need be) to purchase new/old stock and original equipment from manufacturer than to practically ALWAYS face the disappointment and trouble attempting to return the pos they sell you!

This is one of those times when done installing the first mirror that I quickly remember the above as I realize the "new" and (suppose to be) "exact replacement" part looks worse than the old but worn original!
Smh... please take my advice and you'll never regret it!

I experienced the same thing on a set of bargain replacement side mirrors for my 98 chevy truck. Junk.

Richard,

Check your email. I have a brand new pair of factory side mirrors, but they actually belong to JLEMOND. If you're interested, I think we could work things out.

Hey Jack!
Do they happen to include the factory mounting grommet and plastic caps with them too cause I snarled mine pretty bad while removing them.. if so /either way.. then YES, please do!

Thank you!
Rich

Rich,

Sorry, I told you wrong. These are not new, but they seem to be in good condition. They were in ziplock bags, not the original packaging. The cover (cap) for one has the tabs broken off. The other one looks good. There are 3 mounting screws, so I guess it’s missing one.

I don’t know what kind of trouble you’re having, but I automatically blame Yahoo whenever they’re in the picture.

Well.. ?hmm? I actually I only need the clean/ undamaged grommet (on right side) and the good cap (the one mentioned with all its tabs).. but I don't want to sound ungrateful or seem picky and choosy so ..the only question remaining is what will it cost me to get them here and installed on my "Blue"?
