I think pretty much everything Paul posts should be in the HOW TO section. This thread is from 2010 and should have been here a long time ago.
Proper valve adjustment is very important in any vehicle with adjustable lash. The rockers get worn underneath where they hit the valve, making it almost impossible to achieve the correct .016 clearance. Paul has ingeniously come up with a jig with his belt sander to resurface the rocker surface. As you'll read in the thread, Jerry Lemond recommends Parkerizing (a hardening process) the ground rocker surfaces. Otherwise they'll be worn again in a short period of time.
