Re: Tranny trouble lost 3rd and 4th
loss of 4th is not normal for the common bearing issues of the MSG. normally its the last working gear in the trans as its the only gear to not use the counter shaft. 3rd and 4th are on the same rod. and no bad sounds coming from the trans. so my guess is the role pin is broken, that transfers the f...

Re: 16 year old starting with TD Trooper
low on the oil gage is normal after it gets hot, all mine have been that same way. with the normal 15/40 C rated oil
rev it to 1K+ and it should rise to normal area.

Re: ridiculously slow trucks
4ZC1-TC 2.0L out of a RWD I-mark mixed with parts from the 2.3 and 2.6 you can get around 140hp with ease. the 3.90 LSD will help get the power to the road but the MSG will be pushing its limits, upgrading to a MUA would be good. but those are some """really rare parts""&quo...

Re: Casting new parts
im not going to sell mine. but i would consider pulling it off the trans for the perpuse of making copy's , if it "really" can be done cost affectevly. i have a JDM 2.8 with a MUA....its not in a auto yet. with a housing you would only need to order a engine from JDM land and not the trans...

Re: Transmission information.
any up-grade doner needs to have a 2.3L engine. the 2.6L has the newer trans, it can and has been made to work with a gas engine but its not a bolt in like the trans from a 86/95 truck with the 2.3L 86/87 has the yoke in the doner that will work with your drive line, 88/95 does not have a yoke that...

Re: Toyota LPG kits fit or adaptable to isuzu's??
i guess the question is, how high of compression is practical with a 4Z engine.??? with out having valves hit pistons.. Johnny had one at about 9.5 maybe 10/1 that's still very 92 octane friendly even 89 if you don't rod it up high in rpms.. all he did was mix the head with smaller combustion space,...
