Re: HF Pneumatic brake bleeder??

My son uses these, they are great at flushing old fluid out of the system. I couldnt get one to work on a hydraulic clutch, but Ive used them on brakes before. a lot easier than with a helper. BUT, like the problem I had with the clutch, you need to pump up the calipers before you bleed the system w...

Re: Thermostat replacement

you dont really even need to drain it. Just take off the thermostat housing, you'll lose no more than about 3 cups of coolant. swap out the thermostat and top it back off.

Re: 90 Pickup 2.3L, 5 speed - rough idle

I'm almost convinced that it needs nothing more than a thousand miles cant fix. Add some sea foam to the tank and drive it for a while. They tend to get like that when they sit. If that doesnt do it, start looking in the direction of the fuel pump in the tank. if that pickup screen gets clogged with...

Re: Another Overheating 83 Diesel Pickup

If its leaking into the engine, you will probably see milk chocolate sauce in your oilpan. Check your dipstick to see if it looks foamy. If the water jacket is leaking directly into a piston, it won't show on the dipstick, but you can usually figure out which cylinder it is with a pressure check. If...

Re: When it rains...

I use a thick piece of aluminum and cut a keyhole slot in it and slide it over the cable on the outside. You can attach it with screws or just stick it on with liquid nails. You can get aluminum stock from a hardware store or lowes, etc.

Re: Speed sensor question 1995 pickup

Its more than likely that speed sensor, I've had to replace several in many makes of vehicles. check for loose/corroded connections first.

Re: Gas Pup ignition

start at the battery. Replace the ends whether you think it needs them or not. Then the main lug on the starter. Wiggle hard and pull on it to see if it breaks loose. Same with the negative side, both ends.

Re: Preparing for Paint

I went with the rust encapsulator last time I did one. Do the inside of your frame while you're doing it. You wont regret it, and its super easy to do with the frame kit from Eastwood.

Re: How to: Fix a squishy old steering wheel. Cheap!

next, drill some small holes in the back of the steering wheel. I put them at 10 oclock, 2 oclock and 6 oclock. The one at the bottom is the drain. Fill the large syringe with water. pump a full syringe into the holes at the top, half in each. Dont forget to put the paper towels on the seat between ...
