Before this morphs into a techie discussion, let's get a new topic created in the appropriate section for that.

Welcome to the site. Got a first name? I see you came here from PlanetIsuzoo.com. There were two posts about the same issue and I'm guessing you may not have seen my reply (https://www.planetisuzoo.com/threads/1986-isuzu-trooper-i-fuel-injection-pump.156472/?post_id=5592505). Re: Fuel shut off solenoid
I thought I had a new one, but I ran across this today, and it's a take-out. fuel_cut_solenoid.jpg The single wire does not even go through the housing. It uses a ring terminal, secured by a nut on a threaded terminal. So if this were to break off, repairing/replacing it would not even require remov...

Welcome to the site. I know he offers this as a paid service. That said, I have no experience and I know only what I read here.

Is this what you meant to say?

Re: Fuel shut off solenoid
My spare was buried too deep. But here's a pic of the one on my C223-T.

I have a shiny new one in a baggie somewhere. The next time I run across it, I'll get a picture and replace the one above. Jack

Re: Think I'm getting one! (1992 Isuzu Pickup)
Welcome to the site. I can't say whether it's worth $2,000, but that price seems to be in the range of what others have been paying (based on what I've read lately). Personally, I think the used vehicle prices have all been pretty insane for the last few years.

Re: IP stops suddenly
I tested the voltage at the solenoid plug. I took the plug apart and tested on the hot male end. With the key in the on position, I got 2.71 volts. I put the two ends together and had a friend turn the key to the on position while I had my finger on the solenoid. I could here a click from the direc...

Re: Fuel shut off solenoid
I'll post a pic of a C223 fuel cutoff solenoid once I once I find it. If I recall correctly, it's quite a bit smaller than the one pictured.

Re: IP stops suddenly
The fuel cutoff solenoid rarely fails. Let's go through this. When it first failed and would not restart, it was already at operating temperature, right? If that's the case, we should probably be troubleshooting the fuel system, as you say. There could be a few different approaches. I'd get close to...

Re: Fuel shut off solenoid
I am a firm believer that with older vehicles repairing the defective parts is always better than replacement. This holds true with newer cars too after comparing the cost of replacement VS cost of repair. Here we have a fuel shut-off solenoid from a Isuzu diesel. The part isn't all that expensive ...

Re: Rough cold start
The air leaks that I and others hear won't effect the starting of the engine. Charge air pressure leaks causes a entirely different set of symptoms. Charge air pressure doesn't become important until higher RPM & higher engine loads. Please clarify. I don't know what "charge air leaks"...
