Put transmission in 1st, apply parking brake, chock wheels and hopefully that'll hold the crank.

One for a gasser will work but you'll have to do some creative plumbing. The inlet & outlets typically are on opposite sides from gas to diesel.

Assuming you're talking about the rear taillight brakes, You'll have to remove a small piece of black plastic duct from under the dash. Driver's side above the knee in order to see better.
