Refill hose?

Postby LostInSpaceCab » Sat Sep 28, 2019 11:31 am

Anyone have an idea what that A/C refill hose is called? I need to top-up my freon in my ‘86 model. I can’t find my old one that one connected to the little, single-use bottle. Thanks!

Just go to any auto parts store and tell them what you want.
Original owner of a 1993 Isuzu pick up, 2.3 engine, 5 speed with power steering and air conditioning. All original except the radio (still have factory radio).
It's cheaper to fix what you have than to buy someone else's problems.

Don't buy any refrigerant that says it stops leaks! That stuff is awful for your system. There is no "miracle in a can".

If your truck hasn't been switched over to 134 and still on r12, you're outta luck. If it has been converted to 134, then what Jack said, any auto parts store or Walmart should have freon and hose to put it in with.

I have the R-12 variety. Just can’t find my little hose after the move back to Scruffyville.

So just ask for ‘what it is’ then. Strangely direct!
