91 Isuzu pickup

Postby Donald 91 isuzu » Fri Aug 03, 2018 12:03 pm

I bought a brand new 1994 Isuzu pickup, as my first vehicle back when I was 15. I later wrecked it and have always had a soft spot for those trucks. I moved back 4 years ago and my 74 year old neighbor had the same exact truck. We became very good friends and one day he came to me with title in hand and gave me the 1991 Isuzu pickup that he bought brand new. The next day he passed away! So I want to rebuild this truck, named Butch, after my neighbor.

Let's take up that topic in the "General Performance Mods and Upgrades" section.

I drive that truck everywhere. I have a brand new Ford F250 that I've had a little over 10 months and it only has 4400 miles bc I never drive it.

Donald, did you post in the Mods and Upgrades as well? I also have a 1991 Isuzu pickup. I chose to install a 302 and AOD transmission. I may be able to answer some questions.

Just a thought, if you wanted more power and way better fuel economy than the original engine, I've got a few 4jb1T 2.8 turbo diesels I brought over from australia that bolt right into the 88-95 isuzu's. You could expect around 35mpg in a 2wd. Super easy swap and all isuzu. $2600 and up for a good low mileage runner or fully rebuilt.
