quick glove box fix

Postby missionkiter » Tue Jun 12, 2018 2:38 pm

Here is a way for fixing your Isuzu Pup glove box.

If you every had issues with getting your glove door to stay on attached to your car than this post might help.

The problem I have had is that the place where the door's screws attached to the GB door is soft and it very hard to use these holes once they become compromised. This method will strengthen your door and allow it to take new screws.

Step 1. Tape the whole front of the door to protect it.
step 2 Use painter's tape around the area you want to strengthen
step 3 Pour polyester resin into the damaged area
step 4 sand it to desired height
step 5 drill new holes. Be carful not to drill all the way through. drill press preferred.

I like that! I fixed mine a while back, but someday it might need it again.

Nice work! This post might be worthy of a spot in tje How-To section. Sure beats the heck out of the ones I've seen with bolt heads along the bottom.
