INTERCOOLER INSTALLATION (FRONT MOUNT)

Postby 2sk8 » Sun Jun 10, 2018 2:37 pm

Hi Everyone,

I'm doing a front mount intercooler installation on an Isuzu Pick 91 that was converted to diesel.

I want to share this in case some of you are thinking about doing it.

I'm not sure if this can be done on the diesel pup since I don't have one so I don't know about the space available but on the Isuzu Pick up I have is doable.

There is some modifications that are needed:

Cut off 3/4" of steel bumper to make room.

Make 2 brackets to secure the intercooler to the hood latch .

Relocate the air conditioning canister to another spot and re route lines.

Also the grill have to be modified a bit, I will post about it once I'm done.

The intercooler size is: 20" Wide total (12" wide core) x 7" High x 2.5" Thick (Price was: $65 total). It will be nice to have a 2" thick intercooler but I could not find any...

Front and back clearance is at least 1/4".

I will post a list of parts needed for the project and some more pictures once is done, but for now here is the progress:

You have more room than in the P'up front end. Please keep posting your progress here, this looks good.
