Tachometer
How do you install a tachometer? i ust bought a cluster kit with battery voltage, temp and RMPS. I have read things about connecting it to a gray or blue wire on the ignition coil. Is that right? Is there any other ways?

Re: Tachometer
Typical tach wiring:
Tach signal wire goes to the distributor side of the coil, light to a dimmable dash light source, ground the ground wire.

Here's the wire I use for my hand held tach.

It's cheaper to fix what you have than to buy someone else's problems.

THE wire?.. there's like 6 visible wires which wire is the one I want my tach signal wired to?
Re: Tachometer
The blue wire on the left with the wire that runs to the bottom left corner of the picture spliced to it.
There's an easy way to be sure you have the right wire before you go cutting and splicing. Use pliers to push a straight pin through the wire and connect to that. If it happens to be the wrong wire remove the pin and you have done no damage.

Re: Tachometer
Upon further researching on this and other isuzu websites I learned of a black and red wire (black with red dashes) that is behind the drivers kick panel.
It goes to the ecu I understand?... this is the one I'll be looking for when I instsll my mini sunpro.. as it permits a simpler tach installation without going through the firewall.
