timing change ?? Anyone running bio in a detroit 8v71??

Hello - I am new to this forum. I am also new to biodiesel. I have two diesel vehicles and a 140 gallon processor (netting 100 gallons of fuel +/-) My question is --- should you modify the timing of an engine running a higher ctaine fuel (biodiesel) or is it kind of like running Premium in a 4 cylinder that you usually run regular in?? Also I have a motor home that I plan to run bio in - it has an 8v71 detroit diesel 2-stroke power. These motors were used by the military for years and are know to eat anything you feed them. Has anyone had any experience running b-100 in a 8v-71 or a 6 or 8v-92?? The last question is - Has anyone had a noticeable change in performance or fuel mileage using biodiesel Thank you for your input - jeff

Take a load of fuel filters . In MN we run 20 % and when they switched on each truck went thru 2-3 fuel filters as it cleaned the system .
