Scott, it's so good to see you have joined up with us. We'll try to make you feel at home the best we can, but actually, I don't think you'll have any trouble fitting in here!
With your expertise, I'd like to know if you or any of your racing buddies would feel up to the challenge of fabricating up an exhaust headers for this engine. In 84, Isuzu redesigned the manifold to include a larger outlet opening. The 81-83(?) manifolds (like yours and mine) had a small outlet. The newer engines had a 2" outlet, but..the casting was weak, and the manifolds often crack. New ones are unavailable from Japan. We have had members brag about being able to fabricate a header, but nobody has tried it yet. There would be a market for a header if we could get a prototype made up and inexpensive production of more headers. So, what do you think? You up to the challenge?
Andy
