Hello everyone, I came here to get a general feel for how hard working on one of these old diesels can be. I was looking at older Mitsubishi's and found an Isuzu for sale and I didn't notice it was a diesel until the owner mentioned the glow plugs lol. I don't have much experience working on diesels seeing how I've only owned two in the past (a horrible vw rabbit and a 84 Corolla I'm still trying to figure out)
Glad to see there's still active forums for these little trucks!
Btw if anyone wants to buy an 84 diesel Corolla that's broken just lmk my wife hates looking at it
Wow, that '84 diesel Corolla is a rare one! I had an '86 Turbodiesel Camry, but it failed way too early -- 140k. Until then, it was a really fantastic car.
I had a 1980 diesel Rabbit. Not my favorite car...

Yea rabbit was rare, tow package, non turbo diesel, roof rack, and air conditioning. but in the 6 months i owned it it was down for repair for 5 of those, ended up getting so mad at it i traded it for a dirt bike lol. I hope i can get that corolla running/sold id love to trade it for some sort of truck honestly.
