Mystery wires from the glow plug harness

This is for "general" electrical discussions. Audio, security, remote start, and power accessories should go here, since they don't seem to fit anywhere else. Not for diesel-specific (like glow systems), or gasoline-specific (like ignition systems) topics.

Mystery wires from the glow plug harness

Postby Lilsthomebum » Fri Mar 10, 2017 1:25 pm

Controller went out and a manuel system in for a while, which worked great aside from an issue ill get into later-but im putting the factory set up back in from my parts luv. I have everything set and ready to go aside from the 5v plugs coming in the mail but theres a few wires i cant figure out if anyone has any insights. Cant seem to find their source even from the parts truck. The new set uo is off a 81 luv and is going in my 82 4x4 dlx. Its the three wires shown below. One is a green wire with a female connection one is black with a male and one is yellow with a blue stripe with a female. The yellow and black are spliced to the first relay and main connection and im not sure where the green comes from, as i am to cut all the wires free from the tape.

Thanks
Maxwell

I'm pretty sure the yellow/blue & the black wires are the connections for the water sensor at the bottom of the fuel filter. And the green wire is probably the connection for the air conditioner clutch.

I found these wires on my '84 wiring diagram.

He's right about 107% of the time.
It's not pronounced "Ih-soo-zoo", it's pronounced "It-screws-you"

I like it! But, there may be a bit of exaggeration here :) Thanks though.
