led headlights

This is for "general" electrical discussions. Audio, security, remote start, and power accessories should go here, since they don't seem to fit anywhere else. Not for diesel-specific (like glow systems), or gasoline-specific (like ignition systems) topics.

led headlights

Postby minidiesel » Wed May 06, 2015 12:40 pm

Did you get those jack? Anybody else retro fit to led headlight kit yet? I think I have a big enough alternator if I get rid of those power hungry halogens.

You should really check out these head lights:

They are DOT approved and made by a company that established itself with military equipment. Very good stuff.

Are you saying they're halogens, with LEDs around them? Post up some pics.

Personally, I'm hoping there will be some good LED conversions by the time I'm ready. I'm trying to avoid the power drain and heat of halogens, and get the longevity that only comes with LEDs.

no they are housings that take a h4 bulb. Direct replacement for the halogen bulb and the has a opening for the h4 bulb in the back.

So is there a single element for both high and low beam settings?

Can you post a link to what you got?

i installed these in my rabbit. They say they fit the Isuzu.
They don't work well because they are floodlights and don't' shine very far, and blind oncoming drivers.
They are super white, bright, cheap and only draw 3 amps on high.

I think I understand now. Basically, two separate conversions.
First, An H4 conversion, that replaces sealed beams with a reflector/housing for H4 bulbs...
Second an LED "bulb" that replaces the halogen H4.

Can you post links to the housing and the bulb?

Thanks.
