Hey all, I installed my new headlight conversion in. Everything fit well. Was a little tough putting them in without taking off the grill, but I managed. They have blue LEDs in them too. I wired them into my running lights. My running lights have been put in with a separate switch and relay so now, when I drive with just my running lights on, I have blue lights. Haven't been stopped by the police yet, but I just finished wiring them up today. LOL

they look great and look alot brighter!! I'd just be worried about the blue lights, around here you get in some decent trouble for them. Are they the ebay ones?

Looks good man. You do need to be careful driving with the blue lights on. Cops don't like them as much as you haha.

I bought them from Amazon for about $65 including shipping and tax. I've been waiting to get pulled over but today is only my second day. The police follow me around anyway. LOL I am happy that they don't look blue when the headlights are on, just when my fog lights are on.

Yeah, Virginia would probably request you make a donation to the governor also. That is if the General Assembly could figure out what they were. They screwed up the law a while back and for one year wig wag (alternating, flashing) headlights were legal on private vehicles.

I think I've seen those headlights sold at Advance before. If they are LED, they may not put as much strain on the alternator either. Looks good, Jared!

Thanks. The actual headlight bulbs are high intensity halogen bulbs. I intend to upgrade in a few months to LED bulbs of some kind. At least I have that option now unlike with the sealed beam lights. Those lights have small blue LED bulbs in the bottom of the light to give that blue lighted look when the headlights are turned off. They worked good in the snow that we started getting AGAIN last night.

For all you oldtimers who remember round headlights, this is what I want for my next VW rail. Thinking of mounting them with the round mounts from an old Peterbilt.

Yes. The leds are wired to come on with my fog lights. Halogens are on when my headlight switch is on.

I actually mounted some of those million candlepower spot lights into those old truck housings when I built my dunebuggy. It was street legal and I got tired of ppl brightlighting me since my headlights were so low to the ground anyway.

I loved it when I flashed my high beams at em... and they didnt return the favor of turning off their high beams. I would reach up and flip up my 2 million candlepowers right at em, just long enough to start seeing them drift on to the side of the road because I have no doubt they could see no part of the road ahead of them...

I think it's because it would be the color most visible from a distance. That's why cops use blue lights.

Because it's cool
I've been tossing around ideas of mounting some high powered lights on the top of my headache rack just for those people with their bright lights.
