west coast so cal meet, how many will go?

If you're on the West Coast or close to it, please make sure your "Location" is filled out in your forum profile. Larry (quicknotslow) is hoping to send out PMs regarding plans for this.

west coast so cal meet, how many will go?

Post by PUP-3 »

i'd like to put together a meet near the beach, but before i fully commit myself i'd like to get an idea of how many people will go. also i cant do anything too big and fancy, probably a BBQ, some music (from my ghetto blaster). something just to get us together. so let me know if you'll go. also i think it would be cool if we also had a parts swap too. bring a part swap it for another part or sell it. thanks! look forward to your responses!

I'd probably go. Depends on when--my weekends are pretty full right now and will continue to be until early Oct.

Ok, Mr. George, I'll commit, and help a bit if I can. Like I said, my weekend time is very limited for a while, but I'll make it as long as the river don't rise and it's NOT on Oct 9--good friends getting married in my backyard--be a little awkward if I don't show!

Welcome to the forum Green Hornet! Good to see another neighbor here!

Riley...who really needs DW Mary's ok on this. But she loves the P'up!

That works for me and Mary. Nice time of year anywhere around here, too.

Hmm,I think thats the one the HHO (hydrogen injection for engines)has their meets. Ive lost the address, but if I can locate them Ill ask em how they like the place.

They have a forum too FYI

They are nation wide too ,as I recall

Might be interesting to co inside our meet with theirs.

it looks like it doesnt cost anything to have a meet there and they have bbq grills. also looking at the beach still, if we can get somewhere with a fire pit we would be able to stay later if we wanted. plua a good point was made that some people have families that they might like to bring so we need to look at stuff for them as well.

Yeah ,what ive notices about the beach areas are if youre not there early its too late especially weekends.
Oh I know a place!..Its in Marina delrey. Ists got a private beach parking lot $8 or $6 week days.Harbor patrol websites have the fees avail. Its right next to storesmboats, shopping clubs etc.
The beach has fire pits near the parking(50 ft and more)Ive been there on weekdays at 9 or 10 and hardly anyone there. If someone lives nearby check it out on any normal weekend and see how available it is before 10 am.
Maybe google it. Here,Ill try it. Ok its south east of the mariott.
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&um=1& ... CCYQtgMwAA

Ok zoom in and you see the parking lot. Down by the waters edge are cabannas over BBQ Grills.
That would be about perfect I think. Stuff and places to go for family and close.
Theres some kind of grocery on the sw corner of the lot.(Marina Mkt)
start there 10966 via maria wy and head straight curve around to right in front of the Marriot onto Admiral way. at 4126 Admiralty way turn and look rt and that street is the entrance gate.
