Converting a 1984 c223 2 wd to 4 wd

Post by TFANT »

Bought a 1987 pup 4wd with a blown engine to start the project. This was a gas motor so I had to find the bell housing and oil pump with oil pan. Facebook market place was a big help with the parts sourcing.

HI, I would love to do the same !!!
Just wondering if you have any documentation or videos of the swap of the motor ?
My 82 pup diesel is well rusted !
So I'm looking to buy a 85 Pup 4x4 with a gas motor (running $2,000 )
and move my diesel motor to the 4x4 chassis ?
" I'm not by any means a mechanic "
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated .
Thanks.

Looks great!

Can I say, that is the best looking ute bed, ever. Where do you get an aluminum bed like that, with the little sides?
