Jose,

There’s no need to create multiple posts. I merged the two into one thread and updated the Subject.

If the housing is cast iron as you said, this transmission was never offered on US P’ups. It looks like the MUA-5. If so, It is a bigger transmission than the ones used in P’ups. The bolt pattern should match your engine, but I don’t know about flywheel and clutch compatibility. Maybe someone else will know. Your questions are visible to the whole forum community — there is no “Sir” here. ;) Hopefully, someone will be able to help.

Jack

but the transfer case at the back is rusted so it has to be iron or steel... or something that turns brown when it oxidizes...

Point taken. It'd be nice to have a few different views of it though

What i mean the transfer case is the cast iron the transmission is cast aluminum. Thanks for the reply. Maybe if not possible to match the tranny to my engine. Is there any removable bellhousing that could match my 4fb1 so that i will just use my old transmission from my jeep? I will just fabricate a plate from transmission to bellhousing.

As jack mentioned, your little diesel is the same bolt pattern at the gasser engines and this tranny has the starter on the correct side. Clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate might be the challenge...But then maybe not. Jerry Lemond would know.

THAT TRANS MISSION IS A 4 SPD, WITH T/CASE BUILT ON THE BACK END AND WAS USED IN THE 84-85 TROOPERS AND THE 81-85 PUP GAS ENG VEH , SLIGHTLY DIFF AT THE FRT END FOR THE DSLS. AND IT WILL BOLT RIGHT ON THE 4FB1 BY USING THE 4FB1 FLYWHEEL AND CLUTCH AND PRESSURE PLATE ASSY . MUCH BETTER TRANS THAN THE 5 SPD THAT REPLACED IT IN 86-87
