I went into a les Schwab about a month ago and the guy told me I had a loose tie rod. I checked it myself and sure enough it's loose. I want to replace both the rod and the end and do both sides. The thing has quite a few miles on it. I am looking in the factory service manual and I apparently have to remove the whole steering assembly. Is this really necessary? Is there another way to do this, everything I've read for other cars and trucks never does this. Or is this just another weird thing about I-marks?
