Im rebuilding the whole front end of my 81 chevy luv. I removed the control arm but the torsion bar is stuck in it. Any idea o. How to remove it and how do you remove the screw in the bushing

Its 4x4 but the issue im having is the torsion bar is stuck in the control arm

You just might have to heat carefully, spray with PB and beat the crap out of it... carefully...

Normally I'm not an advocate for heating suspension components but have done it when I have to. Do it gently (i.e. dont get it red hot) and at your own risk.

Any one have another idea. I tried heating it and hitting it but the torsion bar is still stuck in the lower control arm.
