I doubt you really mean, "won't turn over". "Won't turn over" is a completely different troubleshooting process from "won't start". Is the engine seized up?

Since you said "head gasket" and not "head gaskets" I guess it's a safe bet this isn't a V6. That leaves the 2.3L and 2.6L. Please update your profile.

I don't understand the process adjusting the valves while it's running. Are you talking about engine valves or adjusting the carburetor or something else?
When your mechanic installed the timing belt, did he begin by setting the #4 cylinder at TDC(top dead center) or did he use #1 cylinder?
Currently P'up-less, but keeping my eyes open for a good deal

Yes Jack it's a 2.3 engine and no the engine is not sized it ran for a little bit after being put together. It has a brand new head due to the previous head had hairline crack.

At Putputtinpup adjust the valves due to being a new head. I don't know if he use cylinder 4/1 for top center. There's just no spark at all ???

Aha, that's what you meant. Ok, so it DOES turn over. Just no spark.

Carry on...

This is what I don't understand. So he adjusted the valves (or valve) while it was running?
