This is a little special subject :)
In my country (Sweden) we can build cars that 15 year old kids can drive in traffic. The rules for building this is little special but the general rule is that max speed is no more than 30km/h (18mph). Right now I'm building a such car for my kid. It's a Chevy c2500 but i have swapped the engine and gearbox for an Isuzu c223 and MSG4(4wd) from an PUP (KB) from 1985.

My plan is to lock the gearbox in LOW gears but only use rear wheel drive. Therefore I need info about how the Transfercase and, specieally, the HI/LOW gears works. Is there anyone who have pictures from inside the gearbox?
Is there someone who have an overhauling manual for this gearbox/transfercase? Anything that could help me?

Thanks In Advance

Hej dag Bosenswe - that sure is an interesting project you have in mind. I am surprised Sweden has such liberal laws to allow a person to make such a vehicle.

I am sorry to see no one has offered any suggestions yet. I have the workshop manual for that transmission, so will try to have a look at it today or tomorrow to see if I can suggest anything.

PS. Love Sweden - been there several times chasing my wife's heritage, visiting the Husqvarna factory and general sightseeing.

My only suggestion is to somehow limit the rpm to maybe 3500. If it's geared down and wide open throttle, the little diesel might throw a rod

I think it would be easier just to turn the max throttle bolt, it’s at the rear of the injection pump, it limits how much throttle can be given.
