I have a completely disassembled rocker shaft assembly and there is a oil hole in the center of the shaft. It can't be switched front to back , but it will go either way with the hole being inboard , or outboard. Does this make any difference? Which way should it go. I have a factory Isuzu manual that doesn't address this, as well has a Haynes that is useless. Help!

Maybe this link will help. Haven't had to take mine apart (yet), but on other motors, these holes must line up with an oil gallery that runs up through one of the rocker pedestals. They're usually aligned and kept in place with a setscrew or notch on one of the pedestals. Or else I'm missing something here. I believe Isuzu uses some sort of alignment marks on the end of the shafts...(?) Regards/
