The sister site has a Wiki page for Isuzu models and I noticed that the Pup section is pretty empty. Figured we could put together some 81-87 info. I know Jacks intention of building the model information year by year will be handy here, but there may be some Pup owners who go looking for info there first. Anyone like to help me update the Pup info?

See link here:

http://wiki.planetisuzoo.com/index.php/P%27ups

Year introduced seems to be incorrect? wasn't the Pup introduced later than the LUV?

Frame was same up through 87.

Models available up to 85 were all standard cabs with short or long bed option. Long bed was 7'. 4x4 or 2wd, gas or diesel.

Gen one body style Space cab was introduced in 86.

When did the MPG plus come into play?

Just trying to get the info out here 1st, then we can compile it. Puke out what you know boys and girls!

ive added some to it, but forgot how to get in the wiki site
the butten that sends a help message out, was not working for me :?
im the one that added most of the diesel info in the pup/trooper areas

if i could get in i would have added some on the funky 5V GLOWS
and maybe add an area on the original GEN1s 72/80 and Imarks

i think we should get Jerry to fill it all in, would only take him a day or two  and then we would have it.

unless some one was willing to convert it ALL to lower case :P
that would take more time to do than him typing it

The trooper rods usually failed because of the lower gears in the diff. Maybe it had something to do with the quality of materials too, but the rods snapped at highway speeds when the engine was rapped out. At least that's what Soot fart told me. I read the part about the DLX, theres one around here for 425, needs an engine. What does DLX mean besides P/S and AC? or is that all it is?

Deluxe had nice houndstooth upholstery and carpet not unlike Luv Mikado. Console also. No gauges. Usually w/ac but not always. Ps on most. Jerry

Please don't confuse me with Jerry Lemond. He's the real know it all. All my info is free and you usually get what you pay for.
