Riding a bike (and not an e-bike).

Feel free.

I've never tried a group ride. I think I'd enjoy that, but around here, cyclists seem to get pretty obnoxious when in large numbers. I've encountered them (head-on) while running, and they've forced me to a complete stop to keep from getting hit.

I ride with a couple local groups. Good conscientious folks. There are some rather “aggressive” or “obnoxious” groups that seem to think the rules don’t apply and give us a bad name. I enjoy the comraderie as well as a bit of a challenge to keep up and build conditioning. Also feels safer on the road.

I'd probably want to get a road bike before doing any group riding. I wouldn't want to risk slowing them down.

I would have enjoyed any of that, except for the golf. ;)

“A golf course is the willful and deliberate misuse of a perfectly good rifle range.” -- Attributed to someone named Bill O’Connor.

"Golf is a good walk spoiled." -- Generally attributed to Mark Twain, but way after his time.
