Hi all, I need some help. The alternator on my 82 pup went out the other day so I took one off my spare engine sitting here that I believe is the same year, only difference being the one I took off was 50 amp and the spare was a 40amp. I tried putting the 40 amp on today and the belt is too long for it...what the? It looks like the other alternator in every regard, what is going on? Was there a slight difference in mounting? Thanks!
