Tach options for C223T

Postby Hawaii50 » Sun Jul 05, 2020 12:57 pm

I’m curious if this tach would work with the tach output on my turbo injection pump on my c223t? Thanks, Aaron

Don't know if the tach you are looking at will work with the pump sender or not. Probably not.

The very best tach option is to find a diesel cluster with the tach. Not impossible. Post a wanted in the parts section.

Are there any after market tach options that will work with the pump outputs?

Look up Tiny Tach. Super simple and super easy to install. It attaches to injector line and detects the fuel pulse. Ran one for 6 years and never had a issue. Was very accurate. Also keeps track of MAX RPM and service intervals. Was under $100.

Probably not. This old post from Paul explains why.

If you can't find a diesel instrument cluster, the Tiny Tach may be your best option.

Like this? These are very inexpensive. That’d be great!

That’s what I ended up getting. Didn’t see that there’s one for gas and one for diesel.

I ordered one from amazon, and got robed. quoted at seventy some dollars, and they added shipping and taxes, came to $147.33, and
had the wrong transducer. So I got one from the manufacture Design Technology, Inc. The c223 s take a 6 mm.
