Re: how many hp the 4jb1 non turbo have? compare to the c190???

One thing to also remember is the 4JB1 engine that we see over here in the U.S. used in industrial/off-road equipment is a gear-driven engine using an inline injection pump. Makes for pretty much a bombproof engine I'm sure except for how it revs and how high it will go. The 4JB1-T/TC engines that m...

Re: diesel engine into gasser 4x4

Another thing...the engine and 4x4 transmission have to pulled/installed together. The tranny won't drop out by itself w/o major mods to the crossmember underneath the truck. Isn't this only true with the 4x4 tranny? I just bought an 83 a couple days ago and the previous owner pulled the tranny wit...

Re: turbo kit for non turbo 2.2 diesel

Howard, now that is one mean and nice looking LUV! Not to mention the unit is turbo intercooled. That is a good looking and fitting 3 guage pod too and is it for a certain fit truck that you made work on the LUV's pillar? Did you say you got both the intake and exhaust manifolds from a the...

Re: New to Isuzu's, pa minitrucker

Hey Brian, yea I do remember seeing that truck at least a few times I could count on my hand on the way home from work and it was in very good condition for around our area. I graduated from SouthWestern high school in 2004. It's nice to know you are close too, as there are not too many on the forum...

Re: New to Isuzu's, pa minitrucker

Thanks for the welcolme guys. I'm located in south central pa, below York, in Glen Rock to be exact. If anyone else goes to the Carlilse truck show, I'm there every year so maybey we could find each other there. Taking the pup this year-will be lowered by then, not bagged yet, just hammered. Hey Ja...

Re: 86 Trooper II Diesel BUILD!!! teaser

Also thats the new turbo i'll be running on the build, its a gt2560 dual ball bearing with a .64 exhaust stage 3 wheel and a huge .60 compressor housing, made for sr20det's that I love also but should work on the c223t also. Will that be a bolt-on to the factory exhaust manifold or will you have to...

Re: turbo kit for non turbo 2.2 diesel

I agree with Jack and post up your pictures of your turbo intercooled setup on your 2.2 diesel. Is your 81 LUV a 4x4 and if so I guess you turbocharged the older, wider main bearing 58 HP C223? Did you use a factory turbo diesel exhaust manifold or make your own? Looking forward to seeing pics and t...

Re: limited log ins

Hey David, I'm also glad to hear you made it back successfully and I'm sure it was a trip to definitely remember. It was a pleasure to meet you and talk about the Trooper w/ the diesel at the meet. I only wish I could have rode in your Trooper for a few miles  Take it easy.

Re: 09 meet

Hey guys, yea I sure had a great time for my first PUP meet too. Even though I had a fuel tank strap break about 170 miles into the drive on my 93 Dodge, I didn't let it stop me from coming down to the meet. Had to use a ratchet strap to hold up the rear part of the tank and it never did give me any...

Hey Andy, I will shoot for leaving at about 6-6:30 am on Saturday and am also looking forward to meeting you, Jerry, and everybody else. Did you say you sent me a pm? If so I did not get one in my inbox. I did think John was coming, but I don't think he had planned or has plans to haul the pickup ca...

Re: 09 meet

Well guys I still plan on coming to the meet up this Saturday and I may not be coming down in an Isuzu. I'm working on my Trooper now and just need to finish installing a new clutch disc/pressure plate and reinstall the transmission/drivetrain. Oh, I also have to get it inspected too as my annual st...

Re: Building 1.8L motors....Anyone interested?

How many Toyota pickups do you see driving around with a 1.8L diesel in them? I bet you aint never seen one, and I bet you never will see one unless you see me driving around in mine. Well, you won't see too many as it's two different manufacturers crossed to make a running truck which is perfectly...

Re: 1984 isuzu pup long bed 4x4

Nice truck, that's the first lifted and agressive stance PUP or LUV I've seen (with the larger, off-road size tires I mean). What size tires are on it and is it diesel? How much lift does it have and did they achieve the lift in the rear with installing the springs over the axle or shackles? I'm sur...

Hey Zach, nice truck and welcome to the forum. I love that exhaust tip and that sure makes an already awesome truck have even more character.
