Re: Spark plug wire info

I realize that, I suppose I meant to say fuel is not being burnt as efficiently as it could be. Jets are for adjusting the amount of fuel for the different carb circuits, etc. etc. Just doing some things before I get to that point so I don't have to go back and jet it again if necessary

Re: Spark plug wire info

I put an msd coil on a few years ago, and have been using the "make your own wire" stuff they have in a roll at the parts store for the coil wire. It's the SOOPER cheap stuff looks like it's wrapped in electrical tape. When it burns up I make a new one  The spiral wound wires help wit...

Spark plug wire info

I've been looking at some beefier wires to help with my richness situation, and found this. Pretty informative, take a look

Re: Sound insulation...

I used some of that foam stuff in my truck, just put it in a few weeks ago and works pretty good. I think it's called duct insulation or something, just under 20 bucks for a roll at home depot. I can't remember how long the roll was, but I did my floor with a little over one roll

Ahhh, I see it now, when the pic is smaller it looks like you have a vinyl cap on your pcv port. Thanks

Re: Cold Air/Ram air Intake!!! Yeah, I know. Have a look.

Quick question, does that redline adapter have a fitting for a pcv hose? I might end up getting one soon... I ask because I get quite a bit of blowby, the normal square air cleaner puts the fitting in a spot so it only sucks away what wafts out of the valve cover, instead of actually pulling the gas...

Re: No fuel getting to carburetor, what the heck?

I imagine putting the motor at tdc would move the eccentric on the cam away from the pump so you can bolt it on easier with the rod pushed up into the head, it wouldn't have to do with whether or not it is moving fuel, when the cam goes around it will all line up anyways no matter how you put it in....

Re: About to reinstall engine, any tips? thanks

Put the tranny in neutral and the shaft should move to match the clutch splines, make sure the ground strap and or heater hose bracket that runs behind the head isn't in between the block and bellhousing. You have to give it a bear hug sometimes to rotate it so the alignment pin on top goes in the h...

Re: 1995 Belt squeak upon starting

You can buy a can of stuff called "Belt conditioner" it's sticky and gives the belt traction on the pulley if it's still good (no cracks in between the little "v"s). Sorta like the stuff they spray down at the drag strip

Re: Mystery case of the self adjusting choke

I should have added this happened after long highway trips, after each trip my choke would gradually open less and less as the engine warmed up over the course of a few days. There's power and no binding, I was thinking it could be possible I have a bad element- as it's heated for so long it loses t...

Mystery case of the self adjusting choke

This is the second time my choke has adjusted its self to the point where it won't open fully when the motor's warm, I've never had the actual mechanism apart, and I've only ever had to adjust it 3 times (once when It was brand new, and the last time about a month or two ago). Is this a normal weber...

Re: Project Luv Machine

Been driving The Luv Machine around for about a week working the little bugs out. All I can say is this thing is awesome  Finally put my shifter boots in, wired up my tunes and both my whips on the bumper. I think I might have fried my voltage regulator however. I can go warm it up and it r...

Re: Prospective Isuzu owner

Just to help your search- P'ups were made from 82-87 with diesels offered those same years N/A and turbo, after 87 they changed the name to Pickup and dropped the diesel option. Every once in a while you can find a diesel swap in a Pickup, there's a few owners here. After 95 the Isuzu Hombre took ov...
