Re: Plastic Screw/Fastener and Clip for Plastic Fender Liner

Most auto parts stores have a generic assortment of that type of fasteners.

Re: 93 2.3 diverter valve

Wow, that's quite a melt down. I've tried to keep my truck as stock as possible. However if there are no emissions concerns, I believe several people on here have eliminated that system completely. Maybe one of them can give you the information to do that. One last thing, is the air pump pumping? I'...

Re: 93 2.3 diverter valve

On further research it is also called an air switching valve. There is also a check valve between the diverter valve and the exhaust manifold. Possibly a bad one could allow heat to travel from the exhaust to the diverter valve?

Re: 93 2.3 diverter valve

IMG_1595.JPG Do you mean this thing? I thought mine was the only truck that still had it. Pricey little devil isn't it? All I know is it routes the air from that antipollution pump into the exhaust or diverts it out that open hole. I don't see how it could "burn up". There's no heat there...

Re: AC questions for 85 pup. Need help!

A city the size of San Diego should have a shop that specializes in AC. They should have it or tell you where you can get it.

Great idea zenapup. It never occurred to me. I'm always working on a system on the vehicle.

Re: AC questions for 85 pup. Need help!

Small bit of info here: Recirculation flap; Nice to have but not necessary. I've seen a bunch of the early models with aftermarket AC that did not have it and they worked just fine. My compressor is connected with a bullet connector. The bottom one in your picture. You're working with a bunch of old...

Re: Help with AC system charge

In your picture both the service ports are on the back of the compressor. Looking at those, I have to assume you still have R12 in the system. The only way to get R134 into an R12 system is with an adapter on the low side. I've never seen anyone remove the adapter after putting R134 into an R12 syst...

I did that bit with the screw. It didn't work.
Save yourself a lot of work and the chance of breaking plastic clips holding the dash together.
Reach up under there and remove the bulb.

Get your clutch cable from JLEMOND on this site. All the aftermarket ones were too short.
BTW. That's my picture.

If the metal parts of your seat are okay, I suggest a good upholsterer. You'll be much more satisfied in the long run.
