There's one with a camper on it in Red Dawn! If you've been on Netflix lately, that is. :D

Re: Four Wheel and Offroad magazine 1985 Baja Pup article

A buddy of mine just sent a link to this ad to me. If I had the money I'd buy it right now and drive it home! Hope it goes to a good home, hopefully someone on here who'll take good care of it.

Re: Back online, but not fully restored

I just had a question - my browser keeps telling me that this site connection is 'not secure' and I don't remember it being that way- I can't remember if you ever had security verification for the site. Also, I miss the tiny red P'up logo that used to pop up as a webpage icon next to the URL - if it...

Re: New Zealand "P'up" (Isuzu Rodeo)

Nice looking truck, Brad! The two-tone scheme fell under the Rodeo 4WD 'Super' grade in Japan, which Holden sold as the Rodeo LS down under...I too wonder if Isuzu used the LS grade for the Oceania Market.

Re: Isuzu High Mileage Club!!

Did you rebuild it yourself? It was actually rebuilt twice in a matter of six months, as the shop that did the rebuild didn't properly torque one of the bolts on one of the connecting rods and it ruined the crank...they stood by it the second time and hasn't had a problem since. Maybe I should've d...

Re: Isuzu High Mileage Club!!

Hitting 311K soon! Engine was rebuilt at 298K after a stuck valve - transmission and differential are all original, still operating nice and quiet. :D

Re: Plastic Screw/Fastener and Clip for Plastic Fender Liner

Jack great to hear from you and sounds good! I found a different clip (a miniature office clip I removed the handle off of) for the edge that clamps even firmer than the original- this will hopefully hold for the decades to come.

Re: Plastic Screw/Fastener and Clip for Plastic Fender Liner

Darby thanks for your reply. I tried a number of fasteners from the auto parts store, but all have too much play even when I have the screw down in it, in its "tight" configuration. Unbelievable though that these simple pieces are not available new. There's bound to be someone here with so...

Plastic Screw/Fastener and Clip for Plastic Fender Liner

Hello gentlemen and ladies, It's been a long two and a half years but I'm finally back in the US and back with my trusty ol' P'up! Will be back on the forums a little more now, hopefully. I'm missing one of the clips that holds the plastic fender liner piece to the edge of the actual fender, as well...

Nice truck, welcome! I don't think I've ever seen an '86 dark blue two-tone until now, so that's a pretty unique paint scheme!

Re: 86' 1.9 pup running rough under load

On the 86' models, where is the computer control module located? What year did Isuzu begin installing them and what year models are compatible with the 86 model? Also, I've never seen any "check engine" light or anything else light up on the instrument panel that would indicate problems. ...

Hehehe how'd you manage to get that wrong? You're certainly welcome, but please do give us a detailed instruction booklet on how to mount a turbo diesel Isuzu motor in that Toyota!

Re: 86' 1.9 pup running rough under load

Do these Cal gassers have catalytic converters? There were P'ups without catalytic converters?! I figured that just about every Japanese import from the late 70s had one factory installed. DKB, my experience has been that the more California emissions-related equipment you disconnect off th...
