Re: Blue Ridge Parkway

Let me know when you're passing through. My "range" along the Parkway can be as far south as the 165 mile marker, (Floyd) to as far north as the 50 mm (Buena Vista), depending on just where I am, what I'm doing, etc. I can be reached at 540 529-7129. Ed.

Re: Blue Ridge Parkway

Hi Rjonesy. I'm going to hijack your thread for a moment, but be right back! Creeptown57, I'm guessing you were at Duncan Imports and Classics. Technically in Christiansburg, Va. (Blacksburg is a few miles farther down the road where those Hokies run around. I'm actually a Va. Tech retiree, so I lik...

Re: O where, o where has my coolant gone?

Not that knowledgeable on Isuzu diesels, but the gassers and some industrial diesels I know were famous for blown or leaking head gaskets. Watch for lots of white smoke on a cold start (coolant leaking into cylinder) or "bubbling" in the radiator (cylinder pressure leaking into water jacke...

Key Largo trip

I'm planning a quick trip to Key Largo the week of April 16, 2018. Anyone in deep south Florida? Leaving Radford, Va. evening of April 16, arriving Key Largo sometime the 17th. Staying until Saturday April, 21.

Re: Intro 1952 Chevy 3100 on 84 P'up chassis

Chief, remember me when you get home, former AT2 USN. I just happen to have an Isuzu diesel with a five speed setting in my shop. Rescued it on the way to the shredder. Your intro says Wilmington, NC. Is that where you'll be? I'm close to Roanoke, Va. but have been to Wilmington several times (and a...

Re: Blower resistors

I'm not at home right now to send pics, but as Fasteddie says, they're accessible under the glove box. They're mounted in the blower air flow to keep them cool. If the truck has been setting I advise to pull them and check for debris. I've had two (a 90 and a 92) catch fire from mice building nests ...

I saw you in the movies...

I ran across this website about vehicles used in movies while looking for info on the Cornbinder used in 'Real Steel'. (1963 International Havester 'Sightliner') http://www.imcdb.org/ Yep, Pups and pickups have seen the bright lights, too. And off on another tangent; Have you see David Leisure's (Jo...

Anyone close to Pittston, Pa.?

Well, I got offered a ride with a trucking company. I have to be in Pittston, Pennsylvania on Monday the 25 to start orientation. If I pass their physical and tests, I immediately go over the road with a trainer. It's about 6 hours drive from here, or 17 by bus. There's no long term parking at the t...
